2 And David1732 said559 unto Ahimelech288 the priest,3548 The king4428 hath commanded6680 me a business,1697 and hath said559 unto413 me, Let no408 man376 know3045 any thing3972 of853 the business1697 whereabout834 I595 send7971 thee, and what834 I have commanded6680 thee: and I have appointed3045 my servants5288 to413 such6423 and such492 a place.4725

3 Now6258 therefore what4100 is3426 under8478 thine hand?3027 give5414 me five2568 loaves of bread3899 in mine hand,3027 or176 what there is present.4672

4 And the priest3548 answered6030 853 David,1732 and said,559 There is no369 common2455 bread3899 under413 8478 mine hand,3027 but3588 518 there is3426 hallowed6944 bread;3899 if518 the young men5288 have kept themselves8104 at least389 from women.4480 802

5 And David1732 answered6030 853 the priest,3548 and said559 unto him, Of3588 518 a truth women802 have been kept6113 from us about these three8032 days,8543 since I came out,3318 and the vessels3627 of the young men5288 are holy,6944 and the bread is in a manner1870 common,2455 yea,637 though3588 it were sanctified6942 this day3117 in the vessel.3627

7 Now a certain man376 of the servants4480 5650 of Saul7586 was there8033 that1931 day,3117 detained6113 before6440 the LORD;3068 and his name8034 was Doeg,1673 an Edomite,130 the chiefest47 of the herdsmen7462 that834 belonged to Saul.7586

8 And David1732 said559 unto Ahimelech,288 And is there3426 not371 here6311 under8478 thine hand3027 spear2595 or176 sword?2719 for3588 I have neither1571 3808 brought3947 my sword2719 nor1571 my weapons3627 with3027 me, because3588 the king's4428 business1697 required1961 haste.5169

10 And David1732 arose,6965 and fled1272 that1931 day3117 for fear of4480 6440 Saul,7586 and went935 to413 Achish397 the king4428 of Gath.1661
